Two endangered sea turtles were accidentally caught in a fishing net at Dhanushkodi near Rameswaram in the southern region of India.

In the video captured, few fishermen are seen examining the fresh catch they had hauled to the shore when they caught sight of the marine reptiles.

The tired fishermen came to shore and unfolded their net to see the catch of the day, that’s was when one of the trawlers spotted one huge turtle and comparatively smaller one in the net.

If sea turtles are not set free immediately, they might be at a risk to die.

Eventually, the kind-hearted fisherman who spotted them, carried the leathery shelled turtles one by one and released. The usually slow-paced turtles rapidly walked and swam with their flippers back into the open sea.
