Beggar pretending to be disabled were arrested by local government officers
Bukittinggi district officials or Satpol PP arrested a young man while begging by pretending to be disabled walking with his buttocks in a tourist attraction in Indonesia.
The moment of arrest of the beggar filmed on February 9 when a 26-year-old beggar named Aknes Limbong acted in a disability pretending to walk with his buttocks on the Istana street, at Jam Gadang park area in Bukittinggi city.
Arrest began when officers suspected Aknes of being able to stand up and walk normally but deliberately pretended to be disabled and paralyzed to trick his victims.
Youth from outside the province also equip themselves with plastic buckets wrapped around their necks to accommodate donors' money.
The officer also secured 147,700 rupiah or about 8 pounds of proceeds from the deception and then took Aknes to the Bukittinggi district officials office.
Adika, one of the Satpol PP officers who filmed the arrest, said that the actions of the perpetrators who were suspected of cheating and perceived as disturbing the tourists violated the Regional Regulations concerning peace and public order.
According to Adika, besides having deceived the tourists, the Aknes action had also deceived one of the Bukittinggi Satpol PP officers who had previously helped Aknes cross the road.
The perpetrator was then escorted by officers to the bus terminal to be sent to his hometown by travel transport.
