Firefighters managed to rescue a man clinging from a broken safety rope from the 16th floor of a building in southwestern China.

The video, filmed in Liupanshui city in Guizhou province on June 30, shows a worker clinging onto the safety rope as the firefighters analyse the situation.

A fireman, attached to a safety rope, lowered himself down from the roof to approach the worker and tied a safety rope to his waist.

Then the fireman helped push the worker up while other firefighters on the top of the building lifted him up slowly.

After seven minutes, the worker was successfully rescued.

According to reports, the worker was repairing the outer wall when the safety rope suddenly snapped.

Thanks to his quick reactions he immediately grabbed the rope to save himself.
