Thick black smoke poured into the sky after flames ripped through a furniture factory in Bangkok this morning (July 9).

The blaze broke out at the warehouse in the Lat Phrao district of the Thai capital just after 10 am local time.

Footage of the skyline shows thick plumes of dark grey smoke billowing into the air as fire crews raced to the scene.

Workers managed to flee the building without any injuries while the flames were brought under control.

The roof of the building collapsed while inside a large amount of furniture was destroyed.
