A two-story house built on just six yards (about five square metres) of land is fascinating visitors to Delhi.

The structure, which can accommodate a family of four, was built on a tiny plot of land in the Burari area of the Indian capital's North Delhi district.

A woman who gave her name as Rajnish, said she started living in the house seven years ago and didn't have any difficulties because of its size.

She said the house was built by a construction worker who had to leave the city, after which she and her family moved in.

A house has become the topic of discussion among people in northern India's Delhi for its unique construction.

The structure, which can accommodate a family of four, is built upon an area of six yards in Burari area of the national capital's North Delhi district.

Ever since the news spread, people from far and near have thronged the place to take a tour of the house.

One woman, who identified as Rajnish, said she started living in the house seven years ago.

When questioned the difficulties she faces considering the size of the house, the woman said there is none and added that the house was built by a construction worker for his own stay.

However, the worker had to leave the city due to reasons unknown, paving a way for Rajnish and her family to settle in.

Rajnish also gave a tour of the house, which features a kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, stairs and a terrace.
