Terrified passengers scrambled out of a train carriage after it filled with smoke and the doors jammed in the Philippines.
Dozens of commuters were trapped inside the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 in Makati City last Friday (September 6).
Footage recorded on the platform shows how they had to clamber out of a window then sprint away from the vehicle.
The trainline management said that the incident was caused by a cut catenary cable at Guadalupe station and operations were suspended for nine hours.
Two military trucks and three buses from the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA)'s Metro Parkways Clearing Group were deployed to help stranded passengers.
