This video shows the moment shocked railway passengers rescued a child after it fell in the gap between the train and the platform when exiting the car.

The frightened boy reportedly found himself on the tracks after stepping out of the train at Kunming South railway station, in Yunnan Province, south-western China, on December 11.

Smartphone footage recorded by terrified passengers, shows the boy's parents and station security staff reaching down under the train car to pick him up as the child raises his arms. After finally setting foot on the platform, the boy's parents hugged him tightly as the crowd slowly cleared off. Chinese media said that the boy was not injured and left the station with his parents following the incident.
