Bungling driver stops for a nap and accidentally rolls car into the sea

A bungling driver had to be rescued from the SEA after parking up for nap before the car rolled forwards.

Clumsy motorist Haruethai Leeprasertphat, 32, stopped by the beach for a rest while driving home to Rayong, Thailand on Wednesday (18/09) morning.

But while having a nap, she left the automatic grey Mazda in gear and didn't wake up when it began rolling forwards.

Haruethai suddenly woke up andwas shocked after finding herself in the shallow part of the sea. She jumped out of the car and cried for help.

Fortunately, a tow truck came to her aid and pulled the car out of the ocean before the engine was damaged by the sea water.

Haruethai, who picked her car up three hours later,said: "I could not stand the drama any longer so I went home to sleep for a while. I am really sorry for the trouble I caused and I promise to drive more carefully."

The police received the report of the incident and said they will interview the driver to find out why whe fell asleep.
