Firefighters rescued a worker after he was buried in a gravel pit due to rockslide in southern China.

In the video, filmed in Nanchong city in Sichuan Province on November 15, firemen using spades, excavators and even their hands to dig away the rocks and sand to try to save the man who was buried with only his head above the gravel.

After more than an hour, the worker was taken out of the gravel successfully and was sent to hospital for treatment. The cause is being investigated.

15日早上7时26分，南充济川乡白鹤桥旁砂石场内，一工人被砂石埋在漏斗中，情况危急。
可以看到，一名男子被砂石埋在大漏斗中央，脚卡在漏斗底部出口和传送带中间，其颈项以下全部被掩埋，只有头部在外，嘴里插了根管子保证呼吸，消防部门正在进行救援。
由于大漏斗中砂石较多、堆放较高，被困人员身处大漏斗的中下部位，周围砂石边挖边垮，只能暂时用多功能担架和木板对被困人员进行包围保护。而漏斗底部出口紧挨传送带，据现场工人介绍，一旦开动传送带会导致上方砂石和被困人员一起下落，造成挤压受伤。为争取救援时间，现场紧急调派一辆挖掘机前来帮助挖掘漏斗中砂石，被困者双手被挖出来后，救援人员迅速用安全绳和腰带对被困者身体进行固定防止下滑，然后与工地人员一起全力开展挖掘。最终将男子救出。
男子随后被送往医院治疗，事故原因正在调查中。
