This is a bizarre moment a rare black gecko appeared near a rice cooker waiting for scraps of food.

Khun Auan was in the kitchen cooking her breakfast when she spotted the black gecko near her rice cooker in her house in Bangkok, Thailand. Footage from Tuesday November 8 shows how she left pieces of rice in front of the gecko, which it quickly ate.

The housewife said that this gecko often appeared and begged for food whenever she used the rice cooker. She said: "I thought it was just a normal lizard that can smell food because when I cook rice he always come out and I habe to feed him. However, there are some people who told me it is a black night leopard gecko." The black night leopard geckos normally have a price tag of 1,633 GBP or more.
