A number of cleaners are having a hard time cleaning up the rubbish that has accumulated in the tourist area of Padang Beach, West Sumatra Province, Indonesia, Saturday 11 January 2020.
Plastic and household garbage piles up at two points, namely near the mouth of the Batang Arau estuary and in the Muara Lasak area. In the two locations, garbage piled up along the 300 meters of the beach. Not only that, plastic waste is also seen floating in the Indian Ocean sea waters, thus damaging natural beauty and damaging the environment.

The accumulation of rubbish on the coast of Padang occurred after the city of Padang was hit by heavy rainfall last Thursday and Friday.
Garbage is dumped by residents in the area along the river, to the sea and finally piled up on the beach and also settles on the seabed. This condition has repeatedly occurred.

The large volume of rubbish in the Padang Beach area has caused dozens of cleaners to have difficulty cleaning. It is feared that garbage will continue to grow because of the rain and floods that still have the potential to occur.
