A tamed horse went berserk, injuring commuters as it ran on a congested road in the east Indian state of Bihar.

The incident took place on January 16 in Nathnagar located in the state’s Bhagalpur district.

Visuals show the horse speeding down the congested road as two men on a bike chase after it.

The galloping steed effortlessly navigates the incoming vehicles as the frightful owners are heard shouting warnings, asking commuters to make way for the mad horse.

After running for a distance, the animal trips and falls over a passenger’s bike as the exhausted owners quickly disembark their vehicle and tie the fallen steed.

According to the reports, the wild horse had escaped from it's stable and went berserk, running for almost 4 kilometres (2.49 miles) before it was caught.

Many commuters were also injured while trying to make way for the uncontrollable beast.
