The north Indian state of Himchal Pradesh has opened up the country's first ever igloo village for tourists taking advantage of the recent heavy snowfall that has affected the area.

The Prini village located in Manali district and draws hordes of tourists due to its new igloos, set against the exquisite backdrop of the Himalaya Mountains.

The village is adjacent to many winter events including snow sports and outdoor barbecuing

With dropping mercury level and heavy snowfall hitting the northern region of the country, winter tourism has risen in the list of travellers this year.

Taking advantage of the very fact, the Himachal Pradesh Government has left no stone unturned to draw tourists to its state.

Dubbed as the country’s first igloo village, the Prini village located in the state’s Manali district draws hordes of tourists due to its Igloos.

Visuals, captured by the holidaymakers, show the igloos build adjacent to each other with an exquisite backdrop of the Himalayan Mountains.

Footage also shows the lively group of travellers hosting a barbeque party accompanied by skiing equipment.
