One dead, one missing, three injured in tractor accident in north India

A 32-year-old man was killed and three other injured after a tractor fell into a gorge in north India on February 3.

Reportedly the accident took place near Cafeteria Morh along the Jammu-Srinagar highway in Ramban district, Kashmir, when the tractor driver lost control and plunged 200 feet down into the valley below.

It's believed there were five people in the tractor, which was unloading its mineral cargo into the river Chinab when it fell.

One died in the crash, while another is still missing and three other people were critically injured and have been shifted to District Hospital Ramban for treatment.

The deceased has been identified as driver Altaf Ahmed, while the three injured men were Mohd Hanief, Rafiq Ahmed, Farooq Ahmed and the missing person is Mudasir Ahmed Bhat, according to a police official.

Rescue operations are ongoing however, the missing person has not been recovered.
