Two horses got hitched on Friday (February 14th) - not to cart but to each other in a bizarre Valentine's Day wedding ceremony in southern India.

Raja and Rani were dressed in traditional, colourful robes for the strange nuptials at Cubbon Park in Bangalore.

According to organisers (it appears to have been an arranged marriage), guests offered clothing and sweets to the happy couple.

Organisers failed to explain, however, why they chose to marry these two horses.

This valentine day will always be a remembered by Raja and Rani the two horses who were got married on 14th February in Bengaluru Cubbon Park .
The wedding ceremony was organised by a group Chalavali Vatal Paksha . President of the said organisation Vatal Nagraj oversaw the marriage .
Both The stallion and the mare was attired into a colourful dress and welcomed by guests .Traditional music were being played during the ceremony .
Vatal Nagraj and other guests offered gifts ,clothes and sweets to horse couple.
Vatal Nagraj also gave dhoti (traditional male dress) to groom and saree and Mangal Sutra to bride .
