Wild elephant on a stroll blocks traffic for two hours on Indian forest road
A wild tusker strayed into a forest roadway blocking conveyance for nearly two hours in a forest range in the East Indian state of Odisha.
The incident took place in Kalahandi district of Bhawanipatna on March 03, 2020.
The video shot from a bus shows the elephant blocking the road, as it strives forward.
According to reports, 40 passengers were travelling from Bhawanipatna to Rampur when the driver spotted the wild elephant and stopped the bus.
The forest department officials have declared Karlapat forest as one of the elephant corridors in the state.
The spotting was unexpected as the elephants only use this road as a corridor after sundown.
Allegedly, the incident stirred panic in the neighbouring villages.
