As the temperature soars across India, a herd of elephants can be seen rejuvenating themselves in a water body in the eastern Indian state of West Bengal.

The incident was recorded on April 11 near Rangamatia village of Lalgarh Panchayat in Jhargram district.

Flapping their floppy ears, the herd arrives at waterbody to quench their thirst.

The video shows at least 10 elephants taking a dip to keep themselves cold amid the summer heat.

Following this, the jumbos play with their trunks, spraying water on their bodies.

The love and affection shared between the baby elephants as they drink water, was an incredible moment to watch.

The rejuvenation period ended as the herd walked back to the forest.
