Massive king cobra caught in woman's home in Thalland
This is the dramatic moment a Thai animal rescuer caught a whopping king cobra in family home.
Terrified resident Jantana Meepurk screamed when she saw the 11ft long cobra slithering along the floor in her house in Trang, southern Thailand on April 13.
Footage shows the snake wranglers trying to calm the deadly snake while its neck was pinned down by a pole.
Jantana said: "I guess the snake was looking for food near the village. Perhaps there is not enough food in the forests."
The team finally grabbed the snake into a bag. It was later released back into the woods away from the village.
Wildlife experts believe that increasing numbers of snakes are venturing into villagers in search of food following several months of severe drought across Thailand that have depleted food sources in their natural habitat.
