Wildlife photographer Ewan Wilson captures the moment that a group of crows mount an assault against a much larger bird of prey. The crows surround the raptor and begin to dive bomb him, trying not to make contact as the bird of prey could perform a fatal counter attack.

The crows know that if they face the raptor in a one on one dog fight there chances are slim, but by teaming up on the solo hunter they have the advantage. The crows one by one dive bomb there adversary as the others escort the predator in a surprisingly organised formation.

The aerial battle last approximately 30 minutes, the bird of prey soon realising that he has lost the element of surprise and begins his retreat.

With a combination of bravery and intelligence the smart birds where able to defeat a predator which is almost twice there size.
