Teacher travels with TV strapped to bike to teach underprivileged children in central India
A government school teacher in central India's Chhattisgarh travels with an LED television strapped to his bike to educate children amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
He teaches children in Koriya district's Phatpani region.
Ashok Lodhi, the dedicated teacher, has sought the innovative way for underprivileged children in his locality who do not have access to online classes in these trying times.
He teaches various subjects to students of grade one to five while making use of cartoons and music.
Students enjoy learning when coupled with fun. They eagerly wait for Lodhi to arrive at their locality and educate them.
Lodhi added that the initiative comes bearing no extra cost as the television he uses is property of the school. The local administration also encouraged his efforts.
Chhattisgarh School Education Department Principal Secretary Dr Ashok Shukla praised Lodhi's efforts and stated such innovations are rare in big cities too.
Visuals show Lodhi with the TV strapped to his bike that he uses to teach children. Children can be seen watching and learning with keen interest.
