A fire was seen burning after a fuel pump exploded in Bhubaneswar, India on Wednesday (October 7).

The explosion took place at a CNG petrol station located near the Governor's House.

Footage filmed by Kabita Maharana shows flames and smoke billowing into the air.

According to local media, eight people were injured with two in a critical condition.

A huge blast rocked the fuel filling station which was situated a few metres away from the governor's house in Bhubaneswar, Eastern India.

The explosion took place at a CNG filling station causing a huge fire.

The fire was said to have been caused due to short circuit.

The residents said to have heard a heavy loud sound of explosion forcing them to step out of their house to check only to find smoke and fire billowing at a distance.

The video captured by Kabita Maharana shows the flame along with the smoke emerging out of the buses at a distance.

The explosion took place around 1 PM at Bhubaneswar, Odisha on October 7th around 3 Kilometres from the Governor's house.
