Tribal man survives on stones for food in central India
A tribal man from central India's Madhya Pradesh has been eating stones for the most part of his life to survive.
He belongs to Dalpatpur village of Sagar district.
Visuals shot on November 7 show the man named Kailash collecting special kind of stones for his daily nutrition. He can later be seen putting the stones in his mouth one by one and biting down on them.
Kailash is known as 'Stone Man' in and around his village. Since the age of 15, he has been surviving on a strict stone-diet. Once, he visited a fair and began eating the same stones before a group of locals spotted him and gave him the 'Stone Man' name.
Kailash says that his body is so accustomed to the stones, that if he is deprived of his unique diet, his body starts to react unnaturally by beginning to swell.
His abdominal area has become a very large owing to his stone-filled diet.
