Vigilance of railway personnel saves life of a passenger in western India

An alert Railway Protection Force (RPF) saved a passenger who slipped and got stuck between the train and the platform in western India's Gujarat on November 10.

The incident took place at the Dahod Railway Station.

CCTV footage of the heroic feat of the officer features the train entering the platform.

A 50-year-old passenger was trying to board the train suddenly he slipped into the space between the platform and the Bandra-Amritsar special train. Just then, an alert RPF officer present at the station rushes to the passenger and rescues him.

He runs after him and supports him while he manages to get up.

The officer, identified as Babu Rathod, was recognized for his efforts.

The train guard overheard the commotion and stopped the train. The passenger was rescued and did not sustain any injuries.
