An alert railway police officer saved a woman from getting crushed under a train in western India's Maharashtra state on January 9.

Spotting that she is moments from slipping between the platform and the train, the officer rushes to her side and hauls her to safety.

CCTV footage witnessing the incident features a railway station completely packed with people. Following this, a woman is seen collapsing onto the platform from a moving coach. An alert railway security personnel present at the spot rushes to rescue her and pulls her up before she could slip on the tracks. Another cop and some bystanders appear from behind to help them immediately.

The train named Mahanagari Express arrived at Thane Railway Station platform when the woman slipped while boarding it. Sattar Sheikh, who was patrolling there rushed to her rescue and saved her life. The woman's husband Raju Bhardwaj thanked the officer later.
