A Sumatran tiger that preyed on residents' dogs in Jorong Lurah Ingu, Nagari Simpang Tanjuang Nan Ampek, Solok Regency was arrested again on Monday, December 7, 2020.

"Earlier the tiger was caught in a trap around 07.00 WIB and we evacuated to bring it back to the Sumatran Tiger Rehabilitation Center in Dharmasraya Regency (PRHSD)," said Forest Ecosystem Controller (PEH) of West Sumatra BKSDA, Ade Putra.

He said that the captured Sumatran tiger was a male tiger that had eaten dozens of dogs from local residents.

"We initially laid the traps not far from the village. After two days, this tiger was not caught," he said.

Realizing that the tiger's presence had shifted towards local farming, his party moved the trap in that direction.

"We removed the trap yesterday, Sunday, December 6, 2020 because the individual was monitored near the residents' farms," he continued.

With a goat used as bait, the tiger was caught and immediately brought to PHRSD.
