Adorable dwarf buffalo with face like a PUG becomes sought-after farm animal
A Thai farmer was offered thousands of pounds to sell his "lucky charm" dwarf buffalo that looks like a pug dog.
Ong-at Kesin was bombarded with offers when he took his two-year-old calf Mumu to a market festival in Uthai Thani province, Thailand, on December 14.
Mumu was exhibited among the other buffalo in the fair, but it easily drew crowds who wanted to have a better look at its unusual pug-looking face.
The buffalo is a Bubalus breed, whose unique appearance has been caused by its genetic condition of dwarfism.
Similar to the toy dog's features, the buffalo has deep wrinkles around its big dark eyes and a flat round face.
Because of its dwarfism, its legs are shorter than normal giving it a complete pug appearance.
Festival-goers took selfies with the dog-like buffalo while the delighted farmer stood proudly next to his pet.
The farmer said a wealthy businessman had offered to buy the buffalo for 500,000 Baht (12,350GBP) but he refused as he believes his business had flourished since it was born.
He said: "Mumu is my lucky charm and I want to keep taking care of him. I would not sell it for any amount of money.''
