The Indonesian government has started the initial stages of rolling out the COVID-19 vaccine.

Footage from January 5 shows local health authorities in Padang, West Sumatra, unloading large boxes containing doses of the vaccine and immediately storing them in a warehouse.

The international community is watching Indonesia closely as they plan on inoculating working-age adults ahead of the elderly.

A total of 36,920 doses of vaccine allocated for West Sumatra arrived in Padang, Tuesday (5/1/2021) morning. Vaccines come by land, under tight security from the police. The Sinovac vaccine is immediately stored in the Vaccine Warehouse belonging to the local Health Service.

Head of Health Resources for the West Sumatra Health Office, Lila Yanwar said,
