In the extreme south of the Partido de la Costa, almost on the border with Pinamar, a clandestine party was dismantled this morning among the dunes in which it is estimated there were almost 2000 young people, several of them minors.

The mayor of the La Costa Party, Cristian Cardozo, said that the Buenos Aires seaside municipalities are making a "huge effort" to control that clandestine parties are not held and assured that "dozens of complaints are received per day."

“We ask tourists to understand that this summer is atypical. If we want to go on vacation to go dancing at a bowling alley, that is not going to happen, "said the communal chief yesterday.

The clandestine parties and the gatherings of adolescents and young people were installed as one of the main headaches for the municipalities of the Atlantic Coast, amid a sharp increase in coronavirus cases in the Province.

“The non-authorized parties thing is something that is happening throughout the country, which is difficult to sustain. The security forces are doing a great job to try to contain it so that this does not happen, ”Cardozo said yesterday in statements to the press. "I believe that we must once again appeal to individual responsibility," he added.

The communal chief acknowledged that "the issue of massive meetings in closed places began to cost us more in recent weeks."

In the last 24 hours, Argentina added 5,031 infections and 90 deaths from ccoronavirus, bringing the total number of infections since the start of the pandemic to 1,867,223 and deaths to 46,827.

As reported today by the Ministry of Health of the Nation, 1,656,149 people who had been infected with Covid-19 have already recovered, while 164,247 continue with the ongoing disease.
