A world record was created at the Minister's Trophy competition in central India's Madhya Pradesh on March 12. The event took place in Surkhi stadium.

Visuals from the event feature both the teams donning traditional attire over their uniforms and getting ready to start the match. The match starts soon after. Trophies and prizes for the winners are seen arranged on a podium. Villagers gather in large numbers at the stadium to witness and behold the spectacle. As the match wraps up, the chief guests are greeted by the crowd and parade on a jeep.

The event commenced in the presence of the son of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Kartikey Chauhan, and Transport Minister, Govind Rajput. Teams from Baroda and Jhila competed against each other for the finale and prize of Rs. 1 lakh (USD 1,378). Around 6500 players from one assembly constituency took part in the competition. Matches were held between all 432 teams in five divisions of the assembly area, Rahatgarh, Jaisinagar, Bilhera, Sehora, and Surkhi.

The event created a world record in presence of Dalwana World Book of Record London, UK. It was one of the first rural cricket competitions held in the country to showcase and promote rural talent.
