Muddy river overflows after heavy rain in the Philippines
A river turned into raging muddy torrents after heavy rain in the Philippines.
The Davao river burst its banks and submerged the surrounding areas in the Calinan district of Subasta in Davao del Sur province on May 9.
Resident Ryan Uy captured the scary scene on the way to his work.
He said: ‘The bridge was damaged due to the previous storm and the wastewater tunnels were blocked, so the river overflowed more quickly when it rained like today. We are all suffering because of this.’
