A kind motorbike rider ushered a lost dog on the side of a motorway back to safety.

Viboon Petchthanapong was riding to work when he noticed the shivering pooch on an expressway flyover in Bangkok, Thailand, on January 6.

The worker slammed on his brakes and tended to the white and black stray Aspin breed of dog.

He then gently ushered the scared pooch to safety and rode alongside it until the pavement was reached.

Viboon even held up the busy rush hour morning traffic to help the dog cross the road to safety. It then scampered away along the sidewalk.

He said: ‘I was relieved that the dog was uninjured when I found it. We should be more caring towards animals especially the strays.’
