This is the heartwarming moment a kind delivery rider stopped traffic to help an elderly woman cross a busy road.

CCTV footage shows the postman pulling over after spotting the pensioner waiting to cross amid a 35-degrees Celsius heat in Bangkok, Thailand.

He parked his motorcycle, stepped onto the road, and held the pedestrian's hand while signalling approaching vehicles to stop on June 18.

Minivans and cars patiently waited as the two crossed the asphalt.

Once safely across, the senior citizen walked toward a nearby alley while the rider returned to his motorbike.

Jedsada Chinwong, who captured the video, said: 'The grandma had been waiting a long time due to the traffic. The postman acted quickly and helped her cross safely. He's a real hero.'
