1 dead, several injured after stone crusher factory catches fire in central India
A devastating fire followed by some explosions caused extensive damage to property and life in central India's Madhya Pradesh on June 26. The incident took place in Shadora in the Ashoknagar district.
Visuals feature massive flames scaling from the factory premise while plumes of thick clouds of black smoke emanating from the place begin to engulf the sky. Meanwhile, the panic-stricken onlookers behold the horrific occurrence from a distance while the fire continues to spread by the second. Fortunately, the fire tenders manage to douse the blaze, but the incident leaves a trail of destruction as most items get charred.
The sudden fire allegedly broke out in the asphalt plant of the SS Stone Crusher when some laborers were working outside the factory in broad daylight. Following this, the tanks in the factory began to explode, causing panic among the people living in the vicinity.
Moreover, fear gripped the workers of the factory after the fire began to spread rapidly, leading to a commotion. However, the fire tenders, along with the senior cops and administrative officials, rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze.
Unfortunately, one of the outside labour died in the incident, while the others sustained injuries and were provided relevant medication. Nevertheless, an investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the fire.
