Intensified weather conditions and incessant rains caused devastation in central India's Madhya Pradesh on July 22. The incident took place in Jatashankar Dham in Bijawar in Chhatarpur district.

Visuals feature the incessant rains triggering flash floods in the area, following which the temple gets inundated in broad daylight. Within moments, the gushing stream of water enters the shrine, destroying anything coming in its way. Meanwhile, the raging stream flows through the stairs and from the roofs, ensuing panic among those beholding the occurrence.

Due to heavy downpour for the past days, the overflowing stream coming out of the mountains looked like a raging waterfall while several thronged to witness the spectacle as the weather continued to escalate by the second.
