This footage, which was filmed on July 15, shows cars and motorcycles driving through flood water on a main street in the district of Raisen, India's Madhya Pradesh.

The street is completely submerged in water as a result of heavy rains that hit India. The rain came after days of exceptional heat.

Extreme weather conditions have caused sever traffic disruptions in the region. The authorities have decided to open six gates of the Barna dam to faciliate the draining of the water.

Heavy rainfall led to severe flooding on the road in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

The incident happened in the Raisen district on July 15.

Visuals showed a road completely submerged under water as a result of all the rainfall. The downpour continued as waterlogged the road, making transportation difficult.

Although the rain came as a relief after days of scorching heat and sunlight, the water turned out to be a problem for the people. The vehicles on the road were seen wading through the water whose level was almost knee-high.

Reports of many other places in the state getting waterlogged have emerged and the six gates of the Barna dam had to be opened to drain out the water.

This season's monsoon has wreaked havoc in the state.
