A pet cat was safely rescued after getting caught in an automatic gate, in Nonthaburi province, Thailand, on May 28.

CCTV footage shows the moggie, named Nana, rushing to get through the shrinking gap in the gate. Unfortunately she mis-timed it and ended up getting her neck caught in it.

Fortunately, she was immediately freed, unhurt, when her owner heard her cries and re-opened the gate.

Pet owner Phusanisa Goonasit said: "My cat always tries to run out, every time the gate is open. I don’t know why but I think she learned her lesson now."
