Astonishing moment 'cruel' supermarket owner kicks escaped fish back into tank
This is the astonishing moment a supermarket owner kicked a fish back into its tank in northern China.
CCTV footage filmed in the city of Songyuan in Jilin Province on October 21 shows the creature leaping from water and landing onto the floor of the business.
The woman then walks up to it and delivers a deft chip, sending it back into the tank.
The video has provoked both admiration and outrage.
"It's a pity that the woman did not play football...she should apply for the national team," joked one person online.
Others said they thought her behaviour was unnecessarily cruel and argued that she could have returned it to the tank by hand.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
