A kind driver rescued a stray kitten trapped in the middle of a road.

Kanisorn Gunjinda spotted the tiny black and white moggie near a road lane barrier appearing to be terrified as he drove to work in Samut Sakhon province, Thailand on January 17.

The driver pulled over in front of the male feline, which was startled and ran down the road in front of cars. However, Kanisorn chased the kitten before carrying it back to his vehicle.

The stray was then taken home to be fed and given a check-up from the local vet, who said it had not suffered any injuries and was healthy. Kanisorn then decided to adopt it to live in his house with him.

He said: 'I was afraid something might happen to the kitten if I didn't save it, as the road was busy. Even if it survived the cars, it would have struggled outside. I was relieved it was fine when I found it. Now I'll take care of him.'
