This footage was filmed and produced 22 January 2022.

The conflict between the Ukrainian and Russian sides has noticeably escalated since 2021. Since 2014, the probability of Russia's military invasion of Ukraine is the highest possible at the moment. A huge amount of Russian military equipment has been transferred to the borders with Ukraine, both on the territory of the Russian Federation and on the territory of neighboring Belarus. Many experts admit the real possibility of an escalation of the military conflict between the parties, despite the fact that Vladimir Putin denies the likelihood of an escalation of the situation.

This video demonstrates Donetsk region shots as well as the opinion of Vasiliy, a pensioner from Donetsk regarding this conflict:

Interviewer: [0:09-0:11] – Good afternoon. Please introduce yourself
Vasiliy: [0:12-0:15] – Good afternoon. Vasiliy.
I: [0:16-0:29] – Vasiliy, please tell me how the situation is in Donetsk? It's said that there may be a war soon. How do you assess this situation in Donetsk? Are there nervous, panicked feelings about this?
V: [0:30-0:38] – Judging by the people and by me: there is silence here, no shooting, there is nothing panicky.
I: [0:44-0:54] – Tell me: alarming suitcase, a stock of canned food, stewed meat, buckwheat, as it was in 2014 and 2015 – do you have this or is everything calm?
V: [0:55-1:05] – The shops are full. The main thing is money since I am a pensioner. Well, it's enough for now.
I: [1:09-1:18] – Well, do people talk about the war in pubs, shops - anywhere? Or silence at all?
V: [1:19-1:22] – Silence at all, no one says anything.
I: [1:23-1:26] – What would you like to wish the residents of Donetsk?
V: [1:27-1:39] – Peace faster. Well, good health to all, the best in life.
I: [1:40-1:41] – Thank you very much!
