Group of wild monkeys raid pickup truck to steal food in Thailand
A group of wild monkeys raided a pickup truck to steal food in Thailand.
The vehicle was waiting for the red light at a road in Lopburi province when the gang of macaques jumped on the back on February 10.
The creatures then searched the bags and grabbed fruits while a terrified passenger tried to scare them away.
Footage shows the monkeys grabbing bags of fruits and jumping around the truck to steal more. No one was reported hurt in the incident and the monkeys eventually left when the car moved.
Tourist Bew Thrmsurin said: 'I told my friends to not eat in front of the monkeys. They took all of the food but none of us was hurt by the monkey.'
Lopburi has a large population of wild monkeys that congregate around an ancient Buddhist temple in the centre of town, where they often cause chaos for passing drivers.
