A 6.1-magnitude earthquake triggered a landslide in Pasaman Regency, West Sumatra, on February 25.

Footage shows a river of mud rapidly descending upon a residential area sweeping through a number of houses.

Another clip filmed about 7.5 miles east shows hot water emerging from the ground.

According to reports, seven have been killed and dozens injured by the quake.

Footage filmed at Bukit Lintang Malampah, Pasaman Regency, West Sumatra Province on Friday (25/2), shows a dark brown landslide descending on a residential area with rapid movement.

Local residents were dismayed to see the ground movement sweeping through a number of houses, roads and bridges.

Not far from there, about 7.5 miles to the east, in additional footage, residents and officers were surprised by the appearance of hot water from the ground.

Pramu Karno, the public relations officer for the Pasaman district government, who filmed the footage, said that previously there was no spring in the middle of this road.

“This appeared shortly after the earthquake. The water that came out of the ground was hot to the touch. Fortunately, the burst of water wasn't too high, and it looked like boiling water," Karno added.
