Man in India's Assam state buys a new scooter with heavy bags of coins
A vegetable seller in India fulfilled his dream of buying a scooter in a very unusual way on 15 February.
The man, Hafijur, sells vegetable on footpath in Barpeta city.
Many of his customers pay in small change, hence his enormous collection of coins. He had been saving for the motorcycle for a year.
He used sacks of the coins to buy scooter worth 22,000 rupees (290 US dollars). Because of their weight, several men had to help carry the money bags.
It took considerable time to add up the coins in order for him to make the purchase, but once he got his hands on his new ride he appeared to be very happy.
