A young man without as much of a head for heights as his bravado when boarding might have suggested, had an expletive-filled meltdown on a ferris wheel ride in eastern India.

The (not so) fun-fair incident took place on March 9 in Chinsurah municipality of Hooghly district in West Bengal.

The young fellow panicked as soon as the ride started to move. Shouting and swearing and yelling for the ride to stop.

The man went on a rant about his health, his future, and even asked his friend, seated opposite, if he would be able to marry and have a job. At one point he even says he should have listened to his parents and stayed home.

It is understood that the man suffers from vertigo, which would explain why he refused to open his eyes for most of their ride, though not why he got on board in the first place.

Once the ride had come to a halt, the man got out and lay down for a moment, telling his friends that his legs were shaking. Later, he got up, but only to sit down and rest, while a person can be heard telling others to hand him a bottle of water.

Speaking to Newslions, filmer Arindam Mukherjee said that his friend, Anirban Dey, is scared of heights, but feigned the panic attack. Dey confirmed the same.

"We were having tea when he decided to take the ride," Mukherjee said. "Anirban is scared of heights, but he overreacted. I started filming when Anirban started getting chatty. The wheel must have spun a few times by then."

Asked if he would attempt another ride, Dey said: "Never. I am not riding anything anymore."

A man suffered a 'panic attack' during a Ferris wheel ride at a fair in eastern India's West Bengal.

Visuals captured the moments during the ride. There were two people on the Ferris wheel pod, one of whom had the attack. He kept shouting, urging the ride to stop. The man goes on a rant about his health, his future and even asks his friend- who was seated on the other side- if he would be able to marry and have a job.

During one his expletives-filled rant, the man also states that he should have listened to his parents and stayed home, as he continuously urged the ride to stop.

It is understood that the man suffers from vertigo, as he freaked out multiple times as the pod went up. He even refused to open his eyes and look around during most of their ride.

Once the ride had come to a halt, the man got out and lay down for a brief moment, telling his friends that his legs were shaking. Later, he gets up, but decides to sit down and rest, while a person can be heard telling others to hand him a bottle of water.

Speaking to Newslions, Arindam Mukherjee, who filmed the incident, said that his friend, Anirban Dey, is scared of heights, but feigned the panic attack. Dey too confirmed the same.

Mukherjee said that six friends, including Dey, were riding the wheel. Though Dey's reaction was spontaneous, it did make for an interesting and thrilling ride.
