This Thai restaurant has a working miniature train to transport and entertain customers.

The unique attraction can be found in the Xiao Er Hoi Kham Na Rung restaurant located near rice fields in the province of Surin.

Electrical engineer-turned-restaurateur Adisak, 33, said the inspiration to open his own store came to him after watching a Chinese movie, adding that the name of the restaurant is based off one of the film's characters.

Using his engineering expertise, he drew up the blueprints of the five-Rai establishment on his own, completing it during his free time from his day job.

Despite his small budget, Adisak managed to develop the farmland and expand the store - even saving up enough to build the tiny train modeled from the ones used in Thailand's rail transit system.

He said: 'The highlight here is the train running through the restaurant. I built it according to my childhood dreams. I want people with the same dream to come and visit us.'

The mini train has three cars that can seat up to 12 people per trip. Both children and adults can ride for two rounds for a fee of 10 THB per person.

Adisak said: 'The restaurant sells grilled pork in a buffet style. We also serve a la carte dishes such as seasoned oysters, mixed salad, fried squid, corn salad with shrimp, tom yum soup, and Larb salad. Our produce is bought from the people in the community. Customers can order food safely via QR codes.'

Xiao Er Hoi Kham Na Rung is open every day from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm.
