Traffic police removed roadblocks as the lockdown was eased on June 1 in Shanghai.

In the early hours of June 1, Shanghai’s traffic police cancelled quarantine inspection and control posts at the junction of bridge tunnels and blocks across the Yangtze River and removed roadblocks to restore normal traffic.

During the two-month lockdown to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, the 25 million people in the city have been under strict stay-at-home rules that caused some public anger.

So far the public news reports showed that there have been roughly 600,000 people who tested positive during this outbreak of COVID-19.
