A red panda at Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in Sichuan was seen sticking its tongue out while lying on a large ice cube.

Ms Ruan, the filmer, said that the city's temperature had been relatively hot recently and that the red panda must've been too hot. She thought the animal was cute so she took a video.

Temperatures of 37 degrees Celsius were recorded in Chengdu on August 17, the day this video was filmed.

The city has issued a red weather warning for the heat for nine consecutive days from August 11.

On August 17, in the scenic spot of the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in Sichuan, a red panda was lying on a large ice block to cool down, sticking out its tongue from time to time, looking very cute. Ms. Ruan, the photographer of the video, said that Chengdu has been relatively hot these days, and the red panda must have been too hot, so she lay down on the ice cube used to cool the environment. She thought it was cute and took a photo.
