An electric pole was placed right in the middle of a railway track in central India's Madhya Pradesh, bringing to light a clear case of inter-departmental miscommunication.

The incident happened on the track between the Bina and Katni cities in Isarwara in the Sagar district on August 23.

Visuals that have surfaced, showed the electric pole right in the middle of the railway track. Such poles are generally established by the side of the tracks but in this case, it was right in the middle of it, placed on a patch of concrete. This, expectedly, will stop movement of trains on this track.

It was learnt later that the 1km track will have to be made anew and shifted elsewhere, now that the pole has been put right in the middle of it. According to a report, the contractor, who was involved in making this railway track, did so without aligning it with the centre track.

This one was instead made 3-5 kms away from the centre track and the electricity department, instead of trying to solve this problem, put up the pole right in the middle.

The same thing reportedly had happened near the Ishwara station. This is a clear example of the lack of communication between the departments responsible for making railway tracks and electricity poles and the officers of both domains aren't ready to accept their fault in this confusion.

The question of which department compensates for this mistake, also has risen.
