Flash floods crashed into a roadside noodle restaurant, sparking panic among customers and vendors in Thailand.

Footage shows waves from the deluge slamming into the metal stands of cooking utensils when a car passed by in Ubon Ratchathani province on August 17.

The shop owner rushed to hold the front table that almost collapsed from the wavy water.

Shocked customer Ann Suparat said: 'It was an interesting dining experience. I hope authorities take care of this flood issue in the province.'

Thailand and other countries in Southeast Asia such as Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines are in the middle of their tropical monsoon rainy season, which lasts until October or November.

Thailand's Meteorological Department warned of more heavy rain across the country until Saturday with severe flooding in 12 provinces.
