A nut-picker floated 200 miles over two days after getting stuck in an untethered hydrogen balloon in northern China.

Video filmed in the city of Mudanjiang in Heilongjiang Province on September 4 shows a man named Hu Yongxu and the other man riding a hydrogen balloon to harvest pine nuts from a tree.

Another video shows the hydrogen balloon flying away in the sky.

According to reports, the hydrogen balloon lost control and flew away into the sky when Hu and the other man were collecting pine nuts.

The other man jumped off the balloon to escape immediately but Hu was carried away.

Police officers contacted Hu by mobile phone on September 5 and instructed him to slowly deflate the balloon to land safely.

Hu finally reached the ground about 190 miles to the northeast in the Fangzheng region, close to the border with Russia on September 6.

More than 500 rescuers searched and found Hu. Although Hu had monitor injuries to his back, he was in good health condition.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
