This is the shocking moment a driver crashed into a bus while it was reversing across a road to make a turn.

The truck was reportedly speeding while approaching a junction where the bus was switching lanes in La Union province, the Philippines on December 14.

The unidentified driver tried to stop on time but since he was too fast and rammed the public utility vehicle.

Dashcam footage shows the bus slowly emerging out of the adjacent street before it was seen violently shaking from being hit.

Onlooker Daphne Chun said: ‘We were waiting for the bus to switch lanes so we could enter the alley.

‘It happened so fast. A 10-wheeler truck was approaching on the other side and tried to hit the brakes on time but he was speeding and too fast.'

The impact caused the bus to hit another truck that was also coming out of the street with it.

Daphne added that the bus driver accidentally hit the gas pedal which caused him to slam onto the houses behind him.

She said: ‘The bus driver might have been startled. I was just relieved that no one hurt or died.'

No one was seriously hurt in the incident while the bungling truck driver promised to pay for the damages.
